"Fall is for Planting"
As the growing season winds down, now is a great time to plan and plant for added beauty and pollinator appeal in your landscape. We’ll discuss what you can plant this time of the year and start planning for next season. Melinda will share tips on creating season long color by selecting a variety of native and other pollinator-friendly plants to add color, texture and motion to next year’s garden.

If you've never been to Iverson Park in Stevens Point before, here's how to get to Melinda's event:

  • From the North: Follow US Interstate 39 south to Exit 159 and turn right onto Stanley street, then take an immediate left onto Green Avenue North. Follow Green Street to Main St (WI 66 West) and turn left. Take a right into the main Iverson Park entrance and then follow the book festival signs.

  • From the South: Follow US Interstate 39 north to Exit 156. Take the exit ramp for McDill Ave/County HH. Turn left onto McDill/HH. Turn right onto Hoover Ave, which will turn into Country Club Drive. Turn left onto Main St/WI 66 West. Turn left into the main Iverson Park entrance, then follow the book festival signs.

Either way, give yourself a little extra time due to the road construction around the I-39/US 10 E/WI 66 W exit.
