The Central Wisconsin Book Festival welcomes Julitta (Litka) Szczepanska, author of 3 memoirs starting with the outbreak of WWII in Poland when she was 10 years old.

"These are memoirs about a happy family with three children in Poland, whose normal life was disrupted by the outbreak of WWII in 1939. They were written by the youngest daughter Litka, who just turned 10 at the time when the war started. After so many years, the trauma, years of fear, troubles, uncertainty and hunger are still unforgettable and fresh in her mind."

In Litka II and Litka III, she continues her life story as her family searched for a home, eventually settling with her husband and children in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. She has also written Polish versions of her first two books and a book of children's poetry illustrated by her daughter.

This event is free and open to the public, so please be aware that some safety measures may be in place. We will update this and other promos closer to the event with any recommendations or requirements.
