With the weather turning warmer and summer just around the corner, the Library recently planned an event to connect the public with information about foraging for wild edibles. We were delighted to see that so many people were interested in the program - which is why we were saddened to hear from Portage County Risk Management that the County's liability standards could not be met at this time, so the program was unfortunately canceled..
As a public library, we want you to have the information that you want to have. We can tell from the interest in this program that a similar one would be well-received, and we are currently in conversation with the County on how the Library can make that happen. We look forward to sharing information on a new program as soon as we can put one together.
